Fall Archives - Cub Pack 110

Join us for our traditional fall hayride and campfire at Highland Orchards on November 5th! The wagon will depart promptly at 7:00 pm. Around the campfire, we will enjoy s’mores and a few skits and songs performed by our scouts. Please arrive early to buy Highland Orchards’ famous apple cider and apple cider donuts.

Registration:

Register early! Space is limited to 60 people.  This is one of our most popular events and we expect it to sell out quickly. Registration is FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED. We look forward to seeing you there!

Food:

The pack will provide individual packets of s’mores ingredients (graham crackers, marshmallows, and chocolate) to each scout. Additionally, we will have Highland Orchards’ famous apple cider and apple cider donuts to enjoy around the campfire too! If you would rather bring your own ingredients, please do so.

This is an event that is sponsored by the Chester County Council and will include units from all over Chester County

With limited event attendance, we ask that you please only bring the minimum amount of adults needed for your group.

Council will provide lunch and dinner on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday morning if you stay over. This is still a bring your own tent/gear event.

Council is planning to have the shooting sports ranges opened and lots of other stations/activities. New this year we are hoping to have a black light pinewood derby (for fun, not competition) so bring your own wooden car! You can buy the precut bodies at the craft store, or buy a kit from the council store and cut it yourself before you come to camp! During the day, one station will be for decorating them and in the evening we will run the cars! Don’t fear if you’ve never made a pinewood derby car, this is your chance to get a try before you make the real one for your pack and district races later in the year!

When registering, be sure to specify “Trapper” as your desired campsite.

Come out in your scariest, silliest, or most creative Halloween costume and join us while we walk in the West Chester Halloween Parade. Even though we may not be wearing our Cub Scout uniforms, we are still representing the Cub Scouts and must act accordingly. Any Scouts seen misbehaving will be asked to leave the parade.

We will meet on Market Street between Darlington and New Streets.

All participating scouts must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Please note for public safety, groups and floats will not be allowed to toss or handout candy during the parade.
