Overnights with Delaware Nature Society (DelNature) are a wonderful guided experience for our scouts.

Overnight trips include multiple hands-on activities led by dedicated naturalists. Group leaders work with DelNature staff to create an exciting outdoor / indoor adventure that includes just the features you want.

Based at Ashland’s Overnight Lodge, each traditional Overnight event includes a night hike, campfire, morning walk, one evening presentation and one daytime field study. The lodge is heated, has a full kitchen, and modern bathrooms – just show up with your sleeping gear!

The designed programs this year will include:

Astronomy: Make your own star finder and learn how to use it. Climb Hawk Watch Hill for a
breathtaking view of the heavens as you identify stars, constellations, and planets. If weather
does not cooperate take a digital tour of the night sky projected in the Visitor Center Auditorium

Native Wild Animals: Inspect mounted and live wild animals that make their home in the Delmarva region, including the rarely seen gray fox and otter. Closely examine the habitats and characteristics of these mammals, noting similarities and differences.

Overnights at Ashland are an experience everyone in our group will always remember!

Ticket prices:
$10 per scout (limited to 30 spots)
$10 per adult chaperone (limited to 20 spots)

Proceeds from popcorn sales have been applied to the cost of this outing.
