SUMMARY:BLUE AND GOLD CROSSOVER CEREMONY
DESCRIPTION:Please RSVP to this event by emailing cubmaster@cubpack110.com\, or by RSVP in the event in scoutbook. \nThis year’s Blue & Gold Crossover Ceremony will be held at Kenmara Park on Sunday\, May 2nd from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. \nBring the family along to help recognize all of the Scouts’ achievements so far this year. Please also feel free to invite other relatives as well (grandparents\, aunts\, uncles\, etc.) by sharing a link to this page. \nThe Blue and Gold Committee had prepared several fun relay games for the Scouts to play.  Additionally\, each Den will entertain us with their carefully prepared skits.  We will cap off the evening with the crossing over and final farewell of 5th grade Arrow of Light Scouts. \nAs with our prior outdoor events\, please bring a picnic blanket\, seating for your group and dress for the weather.  In the even of inclement weather\, you will be notified ahead of time if there are changes. \nPLEASE NOTE: Due to COVID restrictions\, this will not be our traditional dining event\, and therefore\, dinner will not be served.  We will be providing treats for the Scouts and siblings.

SUMMARY:May 15th - Annual Rocket Launch (followed by KOA Campout)
DESCRIPTION:Our cub scouts are currently building rockets that we expect will be launched several hundred feet into the air.  All of the rockets have streamers to ensure their safe return.  Please join us and your children can help us retrieve the rockets once they return to earth.  Bring your assembled rocket kit and the pack will provide the rocket motor and all launch equipment. \n\nNot a Cub Scout yet?\nThis is a great opportunity to come see what it’s all about. Bring your own rocket to launch or just come out to watch the show.  Let Lauren Buckalew (Committee Chair) or Clif Beam (Cubmaster) know you are coming. ANY INTERESTED BOYS OR GIRLS AGES K-4 ARE INVITED! \nWant to invite a friend?\nThis is a great opportunity for any family interested in learning more about Cub Scouts to come out and see what Pack 110 is all about. SUMMARY:May 15th - Spring Family Camping at KOA (after our rocket launch)
DESCRIPTION:Pack 110 has been anxiously waiting for winter to break and to get back outdoors. We are very excited for our first camping trip of 2021 at KOA in West Chester. The KOA is a fun\, close\, and easy overnight trip which makes it a great trip for any first-time campers. We have tent sites right on the bank of the Brandywine Creek!\n  \n\n  \nItinerary:\nArrival: 5/15 ~ after 3 pm\n(If severe weather is threatening\, a go/no-go email will be sent to the Pack on 5/15 by 10am) \nSaturday: Set up camp\, explore the site\, go for a hike and play games\, have dinner\, and enjoy a campfire \nSunday: Breakfast and camp breakdown \nDeparture: 5/16 ~ between 9am – 10am \n\nCost:\nCost Per Family: $10.00 \nPayment Methods: PayPal\, cash\, checks made payable to Pack 110 \n\nEquipment:\nCamping challenges scouts to “Be Prepared”. Here’s a quick list of essentials: \n\nTent\nSleeping bags and pillow\nFlashlight\nWarm clothes and your mask (dress in layers!)\nFilled reusable water bottle\nRecommended:\n\nsleeping pad or air mattress\nsmall personal coolers for your tent are also nice in the event you need a drink in the middle of the night\nfishing poles\, a ball or a frisbee are also ideas\n\n\n\nDon’t Have a Tent? – The pack can lend you a tent and\, if needed\, help you set it up. Only 1 pack tent is available – arrangements must be made in advance with Clif Beam \nKOA also has a number of small cabins available for rent for an additional fee (arrangements can be made directly with KOA http://koa.com/campgrounds/philadelphia). \n\nFood:\nDue to the ongoing COVID pandemic\, the pack will not be providing food in order to limit sharing. Please bring dinner for you and your scout to enjoy on Saturday evening. WaWa hoagies or other similar food that travels well is perfect. We will set up a fire if families would like to cook individually wrapped foil packs over the campfire – this worked great at our French Creek camping trip in October! SUMMARY:COMMUNITY SERVICE - Flags for Heroes
DESCRIPTION:Troop 93\, in conjunction with the American Legion of WC\, on May 22nd\, we will be placing flags on veterans’ graves in four West Chester area cemeteries.  This way the flags are in place for Memorial Day on May 31st. We will meet at 830am\, at Birmingham Cemetery (1235 Birmingham Road) and should be done before noon. \nTroop 93 has extended an invitation to Pack 110. \nMemorial Day is an American holiday\, observed on the last Monday of May\, honoring the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military. Memorial Day 2021 will occur on Monday\, May 31. \nOriginally known as Decoration Day\, it originated in the years following the Civil War and became an official federal holiday in 1971. Many Americans observe Memorial Day by visiting cemeteries or memorials\, holding family gatherings and participating in parades. Unofficially\, it marks the beginning of the summer season.
